One of the superstars of Morgon, Jean Foillard took over at the estate in 1980. Along with Marcel Lapierre and Jean-Paul Thevenet, the philosophy here is minimal intervention, late harvesting, ultra-rigorous grape selection and minimal sulphur usage. This wonderful Côte du Py does not disappoint with sweet dark fruit, all perfectly balanced by acidity, mineral notes on the palate, ultra-refined oak and a spicy, exotic finish. A very fine wine, able to compete with top Premier Cru Côte d'Or wines. (
