Vibrant lemon-green in color. Crunchy Bartlett pear and white peach notes emerge from the glass first, followed by layers of lemon oil, lemon curd, and blanched almonds. There is a definite weight to this wine on the palate with a soft round texture--something which is quickly washed away by energetic acidity. Appley notes are decidedly green on the palate, joined there by echoes of saline and honey. The richness of the mouthfeel is washed away by the lengthy acidity, taking this wine into a lengthy finish. Ultimately, this whole package feels expensive, and this wine is now #1 on my list of standout White Burgundy buys! -Mick Descamps, RWWT
