Big, rich, and opulent. Deep violet in color, aromas of boysenberry and raspberry cordial explode from the glass, joined by nuances of allspice, cinnamon, and vanilla bean. Full and round on the palate, the wine is well underpinned by loads of fine tannin. Layers of ripe blue fruit are bedecked by notes of bitter cacao and fragrant cedar. Super approachable now, but this is absolutely something that can cellar well over the next 5-7 years as well. Tremendous buy! -Michael A. Descamps, RWWT
