Mas des Volques 'Alba Dolia', Duche d'Uzes 2017
92 Points Wine Advocate
I adored the 2017 Duché d'Uzès Blanc Alba Dolia, which is a blend of 50% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc, 15% Roussanne and 5% Clairette. The Viognier and Roussanne were barrel-fermented and aged a further six months in wood, giving this ripe, expansive white wine an extra layer of richness and a silky texture. There's just enough of a citrus edge to balance out the Viognier's ripe apricots, at least in the short term.
