The brooding nose gives hints of elderberry, tar, cinnamon and blueberry and a floral overtone of peony. The palate is brighter than the sultry nose suggests and brims with an almost red-fruited freshness. The fine tannins weave a wonderful frame for this pure, bright, enticing fruit. The inherent varietal pepperiness starts shining on the tart, moreish finish.
