Buccella 'Mica' Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

The mineral Mica dominates the vineyards used in this wine, so fittingly it also gave its name to it, too. Generous and concentrated, this is a wine that delivers a textural thrillride. Layers of macerated black cherry and blackberry sandwiched in between flavors of dark chocolate, tobacco and toasted nutmeg. The palate is round with with silky tannins punctuated by a dark (mica) minerality. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, and berry cordial swarm echoing for minutes in the long, silky finish. I have had wines in the $200-300 range that could not hold a candle to this. Wildly impressive. -Mick Descamps, RWWT
