Del Dotto 'Piazza del Dotto' Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 2022

A luxurious expression of Napa Valley. Deeply colored and aromatic, it opens with layers of rich blackberry, cassis, and dark plum, interwoven with nuances of lavender, graphite, mocha, and savory baking spice. Full-bodied with an opulent mouthfeel, melding dark fruit with fine tannins. Layers of Madagascar vanilla, cedar chest, and toasted cocoa are hallmarks of the lavish barrel-aging treatment the wine received--something which resembles Bordeaux First Growths. The finish is long and seamless, resonating with toasted spices, plum sauce, and cacao nib. Delicious now with quite a lot of show to it, but this wine has the build that will allow it to develop well for a decade plus. Wildly good stuff! -Michael A. Descamps, RWWT
