Domaine Truchetet Bourgogne "Les Chaillots" Vieilles Vignes 2022

60 year old vines on two different soils, one on the lower slope of clay, the other on the flint (chailles) and limestone upper slope; just 80 ares here, with 17 of them uprooted in 2023. Deep red black, not opaque, somewhat reduced on the nose when we tasted with some dark black fruit behind, improving with aeration. Spiced black fruit on the palate, juicy with notes of dark flowers, very tight and floral with a lovely fresh, sweet blackcurrant flavour on the finish.
