Poderi Aldo Conterno 'Bussiador' Chardonnay Langhe 2016

Though revered for their exquisite red wines, Poderi Aldo Conterno also produces a Chardonnay called Bussiador. Fermented and matured in barrels, this is a flamboyant and plush-textured wine cascading with delicious notes of stone fruits, pineapple, wild honey and cinnamon. Whilst rich, ripe and rounded on the palate, it is perfectly counterbalanced by licks of bright acidity and distinctive mineral undertones, concluding with a finish that is crisp and clean. Best drunk in the short- to medium-term, this would make a fabulous accompaniment to roast chicken.
