Tikal 'Patriota' 2018

This is a tarry blend of 60 percent Bonarda from Rivadavia, east of Mendoza city, with malbec from Tikal’s Vista Flores vineyard. The average age of the vines is 55 years, producing concentrated fruit with brambly edges. Deep reddish purple with aromas of bright berry/cherry fruit. Big body yet very balanced with luscious layers of raspberry, cherry, and cocoa flavors. Just a hint of baking spice at the end brings it all together. A great companion to grilled or smoked meats.
