Another impressive 2020 is the 2020 Westberg Red, which is largely Zinfandel, with smaller amounts of Tempranillo and other varieties, all destemmed and brought up in 65% new French oak. Ripe cherries, plums, spice, and subtle leather notes define the bouquet, and it’s medium to full-bodied, with juicy acidity and a great finish. This complex, satisfying blend will shine right out of the gate as well.
