Vincent Girardin "Corton-Charlemagne" Grand Cru 2019
94 Points Burghound
A wonderfully fresh nose combines notes of just sliced green apple and citrus confit with those of essence of dried flowers and a whisper of exotic tea. There is excellent punch and power to the larger-scaled flavors that display a touch of muscle on the austere, serious and balanced finale. While the finish does flirt with rusticity, I suspect that this will gradually dissipate with bottle age.
